Like you, I was once exhausted and at the end of my rope concerning my child's sleep habits. Sleep training with my daughter saved my sanity and allowed to me enjoy motherhood in ways I felt were missing.
Friends and family always comment on how lucky I am to have a child who loves sleep and goes to bed so easily. But its not luck; its the result of learning a system and creating habits that allows my daughter to enjoy getting proper rest each day.
I completed my training with the Institute of Pediatric Sleep & Parenting. As a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I specialize in sleep training little ones from the newborn stage up to age 5.
I am passionate about the need for sleep and the positive effect it has on individuals and households. I look forward to making a difference in your family.
As parents, we take the initiative to teach our children a number of important skills; we teach them how to talk, how to walk, and how to eat with utensils. Yet so many of us fail to teach our children how to fall asleep independently. We assume that independent sleep is simply a biological function that a child can learn all on their own. The truth is, without being taught this vital skill, many children will experience broken, disrupted sleep until well into early childhood. This creates over-tired and exhausted kids, which in turn affects the whole family.
Sleep is important for growing, learning, creating memories, and the immune system. By not teaching our kids independent sleep habits we are inhibiting them in reaching their full potential. This program will give you the skills to help your child fall asleep, and remain asleep, independently.
You will never be asked to leave your baby to cry for prolonged periods of time without assistance. The amount of tears in your program will be dictated by your comfort level. Many parents are very adverse to their children’s cries, and that is OK. Sleep programs can be geared towards minimal tears being shed. For individuals who require faster results and have a higher level of tolerance, a more progressive approach can be taken. This is dependent on both the child’s temperament and the parent’s preference. We will work together to create your ideal program.
